What The Christian Right Forgets Religion

This being Christmas, let's remember what Jesus said:

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these, my brethren, you did it to me. — Matthew 25

And yet Republicans are viewed as the party of Jesus. Weird.

For the Republicans, giving is not as much fun as stealing.

Jesus was hungry, thirsty, lost, naked, sick and imprisoned because the NeoCons had brought Democracy to his town.

Perhaps I should have said "Romans" as they were bringing "Imperialism" to his home town. It all shakes out the same.

Well if you think about it, where does most of the money come from to support Welfare and all of the other government programs. Upper class contribute a higher percentage of their income towards it and considering most of the upper class is business oriented and primarily republican... they are giving quite a bit of food, etc.
